Once upon a time...
Vincent Geraedts was born in 1984 in Ermelo, a small town in the Netherlands. At the age of ten he all ready knew that he wanted to become an industrial designer. In 2002 he started the study ‘industrial design’ at the university of Twente.
During his study he developed his passion for design and his unstoppable drive. In 2005 GSIGN was founded as base for his portfolio works. Two years later he graduated for his master with a set of kitchentools for the HEMA. The set was exposed at the Dutch Design Week and ‘Designhuis’ in Eindhoven.
Immediately after graduation he started in the third year of the bachelor ‘Man & Living’ at the Design Academy Eindhoven. From that moment things started to move. His bigfoot project was selected for the Still exhibition at the prestigue Salone del Mobile and Brussels Design September. Later on the bigfoot featured in several (inter)national magazines and was chosen to promote the worldwide ‘study in Holland’ campaign. And the same time he made the steps of becoming an independent designer with the setup of his own studio called GSIGN Studio.
